Arlene M Hower

Arlene M. (Unangst) Hower, 84, formerly of Greenwich Township, died Friday, August 22, 2008 in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township, where she resided since 2004. She was the widow of John W. Hower who died in 1979.

Born in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Mary Ellen (Frayser) Unangst. She was employed in the production department at Knoll International, East Greenville for 15 years until her retirement in 1985. She also worked at the former Fashion Prints, Fullerton.

She is survived by Daughters, Margaret M. (Kemmerer) wife of Ernest F. Bonser, Jr., Bethlehem, Joanne E. (Kemmerer) wife of Thomas W. Heppe, Tampa, Fla, Rebecca K. (Hower) wife of Roy Schock, Solo, MO, Karen S. (Hower) wife of Michael R. Heiter, Kempton; Sons, Dale L. Kemmerer, Coplay, PA, Terry G. Kemmerer, New Tripoli, PA, Richard C. Hower, Kutztown, PA. There is also a Step Daughter, Clara (Hower) wife of Robert Shakespeare, Boyertown; Brother, Lester J. Unangst, Willitts, California. In addition there are 31 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Son, James W. Hower who died in 1998, Grandsons, Michael L. Kemmerer who died in 1987 and Thomas J. Heiter who died in 2006; and 3 Sisters and 7 Brothers.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 10:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bethlehem. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
