Arlene M Hess

Arlene M. Hess, 75, of Calvin Lane, Mertztown, PA (Longswamp Township), died Sunday, November 7, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, shortly after admission. She was the wife of the late Calvin C. Hess who died on November 15, 2001.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Emmanuel and the late Esther (Alexander) Weller. She was a sewing machine operator at the former Keith Knitting Mills, Mertztown, during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville.

She is survived by Sons, Calvin G. Hess, Mertztown, Barry L. Hess, Fleetwood, Allen S. Hess, Alburtis; Daughter, Tina M. (Hess) Fairchild, Mertztown; Brothers, Herbert Weller, Alburtis, Lloyd Weller, Alburtis, William Weller, Macungie, Paul Weller, Barto, Ralph Weller, Topton, Russell Weller, Mertztown, Carl Weller, Mertztown; Sister, Erma (Weller) Hess, Heilman House, Topton, PA; 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn M. (Hess) Steffy, in 1995.

Memorial Services are Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 10:30 AM from Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood, 19522. Inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
