Arlene H Weaver

Arlene H. “Midge” Weaver, 93, of Kutztown, died peacefully Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she had been a resident since January. She was the widow of Wallace P. "Oggy" Weaver, who died September 30, 1990.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry H., Sr., and Mamie C. (Derr) Herman. Mrs. Weaver was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Kutztown. She was a 1937 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and a 1939 graduate of Allentown Business College. Arlene worked in the revenue department at Kutztown University for 14 years, retiring in 1982. Prior to that, she worked in the bookkeeping department at the former National Penn Bank, Kutztown, for 12 years, and also worked as a receptionist and payroll clerk at Atlas Minerals and Chemicals, Mertztown, for 12 years.

She is survived by Daughter, Marcia A. (Weaver), wife of Paul J. Reidenhour, Kutztown; Sister, Lucille M. (Herman), widow of Quinton Sicher, Emmaus; Brother, Harry H., Jr., husband of Nettie K. (Heffner) Herman, Kutztown; Grandchildren, Jody A. Reidenhour, Chandler, AZ, Thomas P., husband of Claire M. (Curry) Reidenhour, Kutztown; Great Granddaughter, Ann M. Reidenhour, Kutztown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a Sister, Miriam R. (Herman) Moyer; Grandson, Timothy W. Reidenhour; and Great Grandson, Chad J. Reidenhour.

Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no calling hours.
