Anthony “Tony” Lack, Jr., 86, of Danielsville, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy D. (Zelnik) Lack. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last June.
Born in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Anthony, Sr., and Mary (Casari) Lack. Mr. Lack was a member of Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Berlinsville. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Lack was a self employed machinist, having owned and operated L & M Machine Shop, Bath, for 12 years, until his retirement in 1981. Prior to that, he worked in the machine shop at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Bethlehem, for 12 years. Mr. Lack was a former member of the Nazareth Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by Wife; Daughters; Sandra L. (Lack), wife of Lawrence Smith, Austin, TX, Lori Ann (Lack) Roth, Anchorage, AK; Sons, Bruce A. Lack, Danielsville, John J. Lack, Walnutport, David M., husband of Deb Lack, Klecknersville; Brother, Robert Lack, Hendersonville, NC. Other survivors include 9 Grandchildren; and 15 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Sister, Mary Louise Lack .
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon from Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 4412 Mountain View Drive, Walnutport. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Military honors, provided by Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, will be rendered following the mass. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 South 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
