Anna Marcella Gressley

Anna Marcella (Moyer) Gressley, 87, of Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, formerly of District Township, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown where she was a patient since Sunday. She was the widow of Harold S. Gressley who died April 23, 2003.

Born in District Township she was a daughter of the late Milton P. and Annie L. (Weller) Moyer. Mrs. Gressley was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis. She served as a former church council member, member of the Ladies Aide and was a member and former president of Huff’s Church Senior Citizens. She worked over 30 years as a sewing machine operator until her retirement in 1986. She retired from Boyertown Burial Casket Company, Boyertown, with over ten years of employment. Prior to that, she worked for ten years at the former Keith Knitting Mills, Mertztown and prior to that at Cinderella Frocks, Red Hill, Montgomery County for ten years.

She is survived by Daughters, Beverly A. (Gressley) wife of William F. Hilbert, Linda L. (Gressley) wife of Raymond H. Lorish and Gail A. (Gressley) wife of Scott M. Rothermel, all of Alburtis. In addition, there are 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Sister, Wilma Irene (Moyer) Krock and a Brother, Wilmer Dallas Yerger.

Funeral Services are Monday, December 26, 2011 at 10:30 AM from Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Interment in Huffs Union Church Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made to the memorial fund of the church, 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
