Anna E Kistler

Anna E. Kistler, 93, formerly of Kutztown, died Monday, August 8, 2011 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the wife of the late Harold M. Kistler, who died October 8, 1996.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Minnie (Heffner) Johnson. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she was an active member of the Lutheran Church Women and the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and a former Sunday school teacher. Anna was a homemaker and worked on the farm with her husband. She enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by Daughters, Shirley A. (Kistler) wife of David S. Madeira, and Olive A. (Kistler) wife of Kenneth M. Kuhns, both of Kutztown; Sister, Betty (Johnson) Yeager, Hamburg; Brother, Henry Johnson, Texas. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Charles L. Brensinger, IV, Tracey L. Greenawalt, Michelle A. Kelchner, Kelly M. Vaupel. There are also 5 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Step Great Grandchild.

Funeral Services are Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:30 AM in Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, 340 Moselem Church Road, Kutztown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
