Anna E George

Anna E. George, 81, formerly of Alburtis, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 in the Village at Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township. She was the widow of Robert A. George who died April 1, 1976.

Born in Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Daniel G. and Lilly S. (Angstadt) Manmiller. She was a member of Longswamp UCC Church, Mertztown. She was a housekeeper for The Lutheran Home at Topton for 14 years retiring in 1993. She was a member of Alburtis Fire Company Auxiliary, Alburtis Senior Citizens and the former Longswamp VFW.

She is survived by Daughters, Bonita L. (George) wife of James D. Lesher, Topton and Eileen L. (George) wife of Donald C. Savidge, Alburtis; Sons, Rickey W. husband of Vickie L. (Harrison) George and David A. husband of Lois (Swales) George both of Mertztown. There are also 7 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 10:30 AM in Longswamp UCC Church, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.

Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Longswamp UCC Church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
