Andrew J. Kemp, 42, of Austin Drive, Fairless Hills, PA (Falls Township, Bucks County), died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Frankford Hospital, Bucks Campus, Langhorne, where he had been a patient since May 5 th . He was the husband of Helena J. (Brodsky) Kemp. They were married on October 22, 2000.
Born in Bristol, PA (Bucks County), he was the son of Georgiana T. (Goll) and Kermit E. Kemp of Levittown. He was a teacher at St. Mary’s Academy, Burlington, NJ from 1992 to 1995; was a maintenance man for Kemps Vending, Levittown, from 1996 to 1999; a counselor at West Meade, Warrington, PA from 2000 to 2001; and has been a stay-at-home Dad since 2001. He was a 1982 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School, Levittown. He received his BA in Computer Science in 1986 from LaSalle University, Philadelphia; his Master of Education Degree from Kutztown University, Kutztown, in 1990; and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Beaver College, Glendale, PA in 1999. He was Lutheran.
He is survived by Wife, Parents, Daughters, Madison H. Kemp, at home, Zoe L. Kemp, at home; Son, Jonathan M. Kemp, at home; Sister Susan L. (Kemp) Leibman, Blandon (Maidencreek Township).
Funeral Services are Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11:30 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue and Smith Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 220 Trenton Road, Levittown; and Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
