Amy M Seip

Amy M. Seip, 98, of Kutztown, died March 28, 2014, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, where she was a resident for thirteen months. She was the wife of the late Calvin R. Seip, who died in 1982 .

Born in Shoemakersville, she was a daughter of the late Milton D. and Cora E. (Wartzenluft) Adam, and was raised by her grandmother, Mary M. (Merkel) Wartzenluft, after her mother passed at an early age. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she was a quilter and helped for many years at the Kutztown Folk Festival. Along with her husband, they owned and operated a farm in Perry Township where they grew tomatoes and raised chickens .

She is survived by Son, Roger R. Seip, Harrisburg; Daughter, Kathleen M. (Seip) wife of Jerold H. Price, Fleetwood; Half Sisters, Edith (Adam) wife of Ray Geschwindt, Hamburg, Sarah (Adam) wife of Larry Krick, Shoemakersville;  Half Brother, Allen Adam, Shoemakersville; Grandchildren, John E. Seip, Roger M. Seip, Craig M. Seip, and Steven J. Price. There are also 8 Great Grandchildren, Christopher, David, Lauren, Benjamin, Joshua, Daniel, Mosi and Sally. She was pre-deceased by a Son, Edward M. Seip in 1963.

Funeral Services are Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM from St. John's Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown , 19530. Interment will follow in Zion's Cemetery of Perry Township.  Family and friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church .
