Alton L. "Tony" Brintzenhoff, Sr., age 85, of 303 South Main Street, Lyon Station PA, died Sunday, February 11, 2001 in the Saint Joseph Medical Center, Reading PA. He was the Husband of May C. (Boyer) Brintzenhoff. The couple celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this past June.
Born in Lyon Station PA, he was the Son of the late Jacob W. and Jennie S. (DeLong) Brintzenhoff. He was last employed as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Berkshire Knitting Mill, Wyomissing. Prior to that he was a Weaver at the same company. He retired in 1977. He was a Weaver at the former Red Hill Silk Mill, Palm PA. Prior to that he was a Welder at Hahn Motors, Hamburg during the 1940's.
He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Alton L. Brintzenhoff, Jr. of San Diego CA and Alan R. Brintzenhoff of Fleetwood PA; Brother, John W. Brintzenhoff of Bethel OH; Sister, Mildred D. (Brintzenhoff) Coffman of Winter Park FL; and one Grandson.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 16, 2001 at 2:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Homes, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Friends may call Friday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Flower may be sent or contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 10 North 5th Street, Suite 800, Reading PA 19601 .
