Alia M Roman

Alia M. (Sfarra) Roman, 78, of Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, died Friday, October 31, 2014 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Marco F. Roman. They were married November 4, 1961 .

Born in New Ringgold, she was a daughter of the late Attilio and Giulia (Ciccozzi) Sfarra. Mrs. Roman was a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. She was a homemaker who enjoyed dedicating her time and energy to her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, old-time country music and creating clever and catchy song lyrics .

She is survived by Husband; Children, Marco D., Ph.D., husband of Roxanne (Stefanik) Roman, Greencastle, Anthony M., husband of Deborah (Cramer) Roman, Lansdale, Teresa A. (Roman) Williams, Bloomsburg, Daniel J. Roman, Kutztown; Sister, Anne, widow of Nino Ciccozzi, Hazleton; Brothers, Emilio, husband of Alberta Sfarra, Angelo, husband of Darlene Sfarra; sister- in-law, Philomena Sfarra, widow of predeceased brother, Anthony Sfarra, all of New Ringgold. There are also 4 Grandchildren, Julianna M. Roman, Anthony J. Roman, Anna E. Roman, and Alia M. Williams.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, with Reverend Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer, celebrant. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church .
