Alfred L Wessner

Alfred L. Wessner, age 81, of 274 Hottenstein Road, Kutztown, died Friday, August 22, 2003, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was married to Ethel G. (Dornmoyer) Wessner for 56 years in May.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late William H. and the late Cora (Mertz) Wessner. He was a self-employed dairy farmer from 1947 until retiring in 1984. He was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

He is survived by Wife; Daughter, Ruth E. Hoke of Pine Grove, Schuylkill County; Brother, Wayne C., and Sister, Mildred Gehringer, both of Kutztown; Half sister, Daisy Moyer of Catasauqua; a Grandson, a Great Grandson; Son, Richard K., died in 2001.

Funeral Services are 10:30 AM Thursday, August 28, 2003, in Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Family and friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 PM Wednesday, Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown, and 9:30 - 10:30 AM, Thursday in the church.

Contributions may be made to the Saint John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
