Alfred H. Delancey, 62, of Maxatawny Township, died suddenly Friday, October 14, 2011 in his home. He was the widower of Linda S. (Morton) Delancey who died May 22, 2006.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Alfred H. and Rose (Hicks) Delancey. He was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was employed by Hannabery Heating, Ventalation & Air Conditioning, Allentown, as an installer for over 12 years. Prior to that, he was a welder for over 25 years for Caloric Corporation at its former Topton plant.
He is survived by Twin Daughters, Alisa L. (Delancey) Bertsch companion of Greg Barton, Fleetwood, Alicia L. Delancey-Rodgers wife of David E. Rodgers, Kutztown; Daughter, Nicole A. (Delancey) wife of Kevin Border, Blandon. There is also a Sister, Mary Ellen (Delancey) Compliment, Pittsburgh; and 5 Grandchildren, Dylan A. and Alex N. Border, Drew A. Delancey, Jessica J. Rodgers and Tori L. Bertsch. He was predeceased by Sisters, Linda (Delancey) Sward and Patricia (Delancey) Gjibre’; and a Brother, Richard Delancey.
Graveside Services are Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Military Honors will be provided by Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Topton. There is no viewing.
Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
