Mr. Alfred D. Pasi

Alfred David “Fredie” Pasi, 86, of Kutztown, formerly of Upper Saddle River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in his residence. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. “Pat” (Coughlin) Pasi, who he married on November 19, 2009 in Queens, NY. His first wife, Jean (Kern) Pasi, passed away in 2003.

Born in Coytesville, a neighborhood in Fort Lee, NJ, Fredie was a son of the late Antonio and Lena (Foridori) Pasi. He was a 1953 graduate of Fort Lee High School. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1963 having served during The Cold War.

He was the owner and operator of a roofing and water proofing company, Tide Water Roofing. His business was involved with waterproofing on The World Trade Center and The New York City Transit Authority, New York, NY, among many other projects.

Upon moving to Kutztown, PA in 2003, Fredie became a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus and The Kutztown Road and Gun Club.

Fredie was an accomplished woodworker, making many hand carved items and furniture for his family and friends over the years. He also enjoyed playing cards.

In addition to his wife, Pat, Fredie is survived by his two daughters, Susan Pasi- Clolinger, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, and Linda (Pasi) Hiney, Stockton, CA, two step-daughters, Lisa Candurro, Suffern, NY and Kelli Candurro, Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Heather Clolinger, John Clolinger, Nicholas Candurro; three great-grandchildren, Layla, Joseph, Daphne; and a sister, Linda (Pasi) Tomaselli.

In addition to his first wife and parents, Fredie was predeceased by his siblings, David Pasi and Virgil Pasi, C.P.

A Prayer Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, with Reverend Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer officiating. Military Honors provided by the Pennsylvania Military Honor Guard, Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA, concluded the services.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA, with Reverend Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer as Celebrant.

Burial will be held privately in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
