Albert W. Miller, 97, of Emmaus died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Lehigh Center Nursing Home, Lower Macungie Township. He was the widower of Catherine A. (Oswald) Miller, who died July 1, 1982. His first wife, Edna E. (Moyer) Miller died December 22, 1945.
Born in District Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late William B. and Cora (Derr) Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis. He was employed as a custodian by Knolls Furniture, East Greenville for eight years, retiring in 1976. Prior to that, he was a self employed mobile feed grinder from 1948 to 1968. He was also employed as a laborer by Mack Truck Co., Macungie in the 1940s. Albert was a former member of Lehigh County Farm Bureau and a life member of Pike Township Sportsmens Association. He was also a member of the Macungie Senior Citizens group.
He is survived by Sons, Glenroy A. husband of Patricia A. (Oswald) Miller and Carl A. husband of Barbara K. (Zimmerman) Miller, both of Emmaus. Other survivors include 4 Grandchildren, Ronald G. Miller, Beverly (Miller) Leibensperger, Lisa A. (Miller) Bartera and Christine (Miller) Wheeler and 2 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by Sisters, Mabel (Miller) Kemp, Catherine (Miller) Kemp, Sally (Miller) Kemp and Beulah (Miller) Kemp.
Funeral Services are Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Saturday, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
The family requests contributions be made to Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 8269 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
