A. Marlowe Stutzman, 71, of Longswamp Township, died Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital shortly after admission as the result of a traffic accident in Rockland Township, Berks County. He was the husband of Naomi M. (Shank) Stutzman. They were married November 16, 1968.

Born in Doylestown, Bucks County, he was a son of the late James and Edith (Gross) Stutzman. He was a member of Oley Valley Mennonite Church, where he served as a Trustee. Mr. Stutzman loved his Lord, his family and his work, which involved caring for animals and the land. He, along with his wife and family, owned and operated a dairy farm in Longswamp Township. He was a member of the Berks County Farm Bureau and the Berks Chapter of Gideon International.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, Michael A. Stutzman and Matthew J. Stutzman, both at home; Daughters, Julianne K. Stutzman Mai, wife of Hai En Mai, Issaquah, Washington, Valerie L. (Stutzman) wife of Marc Newcomer, Nazareth, Northampton County, Rebecca S. (Stutzman) wife of Joseph Heinz, Schwenksville, Montgomery County. There are 4 Grandchildren, Adam J. Newcomer, Sarah G. Heinz, Joshua D. Newcomer, and Rachel E. Heinz. In addition, there are 3 Sisters, Mary Ellen (Stutzman) wife of Samuel Horst, Harrisonburg, VA, Jeane (Stutzman) widow of Clyde Fretz, Harleysville, Montgomery County, Lorraine (Stutzman) wife of Benjamin Myers, Dillsburg, York County; Brothers, Kenneth L. husband of Marlene (Bergey) Stutzman, Kutztown, and J. Merle husband of Lorraine (Rice) Stutzman, Blandon. He was predeceased by siblings, Mildred L. Stutzman, James Stutzman, Jr., Donald G. Stutzman, and E. Dale Stutzman.

Funeral Services are Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. from Oley Valley Mennonite Church, 1571 Memorial Highway, Oley. Interment in Oley Valley Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Both viewings will be held in the church.
